What do you do for a living?

I am just curious what everyone's occupation is. So I will start:

I work for Siemens PLM Software. They create & sell a couple CAD software & data management systems & others. CAD software: Used to be called Unigraphics, now is called NX & also make Solid Edge. And the data management tools called TeamCenter Engineering & TeamCenter Enterprise. Among others. I am currently in the maritime solutions team & am supporting customers like Northrop Grumman that make aircraft carriers & others that make oil tankers & cargo ships.

      Neil; Thanks for your service!

I recently got out of a 25 year profession operating a retail store and moved south so I could play with cars all year long. I started a new company based on a project I've been working on for several years. www.RadCapz.com is a company that makes center caps for wheels. The first line of caps available were designed to fit ARE Torque Thrust II wheels and other wheels that use the same center cap.

I am a mechanic for a power company in the south east. We have plants in NC, SC, and FL. My home plant is a Hydro Generating Plant. We just had a 31,000 horsepower hydro unit apart for almost a month. We also have steam plants as well as nuclear, and gas turbines.

I work in the IT department of a Big Oil company.

My responsibilities vary from writing internal applications to reworking setup programs for vendor-provided apps to make them work in our environment, with a little third-tier troubleshooting thrown in rarely.

Similar job here as well, although I'm in the banking industry.
I have a dual role of DBA / Business analysis. If I'm not working on a database the majority of my time is spent making applications talk to one another.

GM of an aerospace machine shop.

While I can't find it I swear there is another huge thread on this topic. I was going to move this to the end of it but I can't find it.

      Oh well.
