How 'bout telling people where you are? There might be someone local to you that has one.

I sell them for $75. Cheap enough to buy. I thought about renting out the aluminum one but never have got around to it.

Just make one. Scrap 3/16" plate from my shelves and a lil welding and plasma work. This is adjustable from a 15" tall wheel to 18". And 7" wide to 15". And everything in between.

You could also do the same thing with wood or heck, cardboard, yes, really, cardboard will make up a nice tire/wheel mock-up.

But mainly I like the thought you are giving your wheels and tires. Too many folks dont go the extra small step to make sure the package fits. I am glad I did, a piece of mind when you order the custom offset wheels knowing the return isnt gonna happen if its wrong. JR

What are you trying to fit up?

I do my measuring the old school way with straight edges and a plumb line. That and a little math has gone a long way in fitting customers cars. If you like, give me a call sometime and I can talk with you about how to measure your car.

I'd only make one if it was one of the pro style where you could actually mount a tire to it. I have one of the percy's tools and it works great. Cool thing is that it is marked with backspacing, offset, wheel widths, etc. Easier to setup than a homemade on for sure. Nothing against the homemade ones or old school style, but for $75 you can't go wrong. Buy it, use it, then sell it for $50.

      re

Honestly by the time you rent one from somone for 25 bucks, ship it to your place and ship it back you probably wont be saving much, and you wont have the wheel fitment tool at the end of it. Maybe you could buy it, use it and sell it on ebay for 1/2. Or sell it on here, im sure somone will buy it if the price is right. Heck if you buy one and use it id probably buy it from you via pay pal as long as i was paying less than the price new shipped to my door. Wait.... let me check into the product before we get carried away!!

^ Co-Signed. I realize that times are tough for most of us right now, but renting this tool will cost you half or more than what it will take to buy it. If you dont want to own it after you use it once or twice, I'm sure that you can sell it here or somewhere else to recoup most of your investment. Step up to the plate Mr nickeld_ck.:bsjerk:

Or just MAKE one for the cost of electricity to weld it up LOL Mine will do everything that that over priced piece of cast aluminum will do. And it got here quicker too. Have I lost the idea of folks willing to do stuff for them selves?? Why buy that thing when you could do the same with some 1/8" wood board. That thing is nice for the guy in a coat and tie that doesn't get out in the shop much. But for any guy doing things for himself its a laugh. Spend yer money on tools that work. Not tools that appear to work. JR

Cast Aluminum, ha. It's a flimsy piece of plastic. I have one, seems to work ok, but should cost around $20.

I agree that it is just a cheap plastic deal. Should be in the under $40 bin.

I bought one, used it, was happy with it, then sold it! Total outlay after transactions was 25 dollars. 2 min to order it and it was easy to use. I highly reccomend people measure their own car! If I had the sheep mentality for my 68 Camaro, I would have had some very expensive paper weights....

Oh, my bust, I thought it was aluminum. Well hell, if its plastic no wonder they cost so much. Friken petroleum products are going up LOL

Never was into plastic tools, unless they are disposable. Like tooth brushes. Heck, hot melt some old tooth brushes together.

Wheelrite is over priced, plain and simple. Does it do what its is supposed to do? Yup. So would a couple of melted together toothbrushes. Dont make me fab up a toothbrush wheel simulator, I just might LOL

Sorry, I just had to laugh.. Its a tool for convenience. I have a full on machine shop here and wont make a tool if I can buy it for next to nuthing. But, 70 bones isnt close to nuthing. So some cardboard will do the same thing. Or some 3/16" steel Plastic? Really?? I thought it was aluminum. JR
