      Get more grip

Hi guys. Is this worth doing or not? Looks pretty simple but there's maybe downsides?

It's called the Guldstrand Mod. Yes, it works. I can't think of any performance downside, but if you want an unmolested frame, you should look to tall spindles or ball joints.

If you’re suggesting sending men with weapons of war to take my weapons of war, then I’m fairly certain that’s what’s called an act of war… and the definition of tyranny.which coincidentally is the reason for the second amendment to begin with!

The guy that wrote that is a bufoon.. lol

But seriously, it's a great mod and the only downside is a couple of holes in your frame. Also, I'm pretty sure the quite a few aftermarket control arms even work with this mod.

If you call Gulstrands they will send the template for a couple of bucks.

Thanks, I have the template but consider instead to use tall ball joints. Will they give the same result? It sounds more comfortable and the car can be restored in the future. Where can I find thoose ball joints? Will the fit on the stock control arms?

Mark at SC&C is the one to talk to about tall ball joints. He is a sponsor here:

What if you've done this mod, then want to go with the tall spindles later. Are the two compatible?

If you left the factory holes in place and did not cut them off, yes. You would put the control arm back to stock and then add the tall spindle.
