      LS Fest

So we just returned home from LS Fest and it was a great time. Met some really nice people and had a lot of laughs. I will definitely be back next year. Saw some incredibly fast cars, I would love to load photos but I have no idea how to do that.

To tell you the truth we were overwhelmed with all of what was going on and I never checked the sheets. I watched more Drag Racing than anything though. I would say I was highly impressed by the person who had the white Mustang that went into the high 7's, the white Corvette that went 8.80's and the yellow mid 80's Deville that flew as well. Hopefully I will finish my 69 to take it on the autocross next year.

      It was the usual suspects...LOL

I hung out with kochevy67 and his buddies and we had a blast. Had my Cougar parked in the Holley booth and saw a ton of drag racing, drifting and some auto cross. Got a ride in the ridetech 48 Hour Camaro with Mary Pozzi at the wheel. What a ride!!!

LSfest set some records this year. The event is well run and the weather really cooperated this year. It was under 80 degrees, sunny, and for the first time ever, no rain on any day. I heard there were over 10K spectators there on Saturday, which is the biggest turnout for any event ever hosted at Beech Bend. Traffic on I-65 was backed up for miles from spectators getting off the exit. The food lines were 20 deep from 11:00am until 7:00pm. Over 600 drag racers were registered along with the usual 150 autocross and Grand Champion entries.

I didn't say that. I have no idea who won, mostly because I don't care. I know Danny was in the autocross top shoot out on Saturday evening.
