Unfortunately, that pedal box wouldn't work. I need a couple more inches to make them work but didn't want to cut into the sub frame. So, I'll use this overhung set.

Made a little more progress. The AME rear clip is going in. The car had a R&C coil spring setup in it when I bought it so we swapped it over to coilovers.

It's been awhile so thought I'd throw some progress photos up...

The AME rear clip is finished up and started on some of the sheetmetal around it.

Roughed in some rear air ducts...

      Got the cowl finished...

Next, the door handles are roughed in....

Mocked up the engine and set it back a few inches...

Got the pedals installed. I still have the drivers seat at the house working on the control panel so we set the passenger set in just to get a feel for the set up....

Roughed in the Fuel fillers... put one on both sides.

Lovin the metal work on the car!

Which motor mounts are you using that R&C front clip?

The mounts are Energy Suspension 4-1122G from Summit but with the engine moved back, the drivers side will need modified to clear the steering.

Ok the fuel filler idea is awesome! Reminds me of the Ring Brothers mustang build. Very cool idea. Cant wait to see the finished product!

These are awesome!!! Great choice in gauges. What brand are those?

Also, might be a stupid question but what are all those brass colored plug things in some of the photos above? They are sticking in the sheet metal.

The gauges are Classic Instruments Autocross Series.... and the brass things are Clecos which are used to hold the sheetmetal in place prior to welding.

Love your build, car is looking great. Those are awesome gauges. We are using them in the car I'm co-designing with another employee at CJ Pony Parts.
