Memphis Power Tour stop on Tuesday...

Can someone tell me what to expect in Memphis on Tuesday?

What time will the festivities get going at the MMS?

I assume the vendors follow the tour and set up at every stop?

What else is there to know?

Really? It's that big? How late in the evening are vendors open and is there stuff to see?

Let me know if you guys need a recommendation for some good dinner venues. I might even be able to join. MIR is in Millington, and frankly, there is nothing good there. If you want some fun, you need to come to downtown Memphis, or better yet, to midtown. There are a bunch of new restaurants that opened up in the Overton Square area, and the best BBQ joint in Memphis, is right there on Madison Ave. I live in midtown.

Yeah, its a big deal. I've been doing these trips since 89 when it was known as the "Victory Tour". There will be at least a couple thousand cars there. Maybe as many as 4000. My son and I will be there with the 33 Ford. Lots of organic hotrod cool stuff.
The masses exit the official venue around 6 pm, but the real party goes on at the hotels till all hours.

Well wish I was further along on my projects, or had money and time off to come down. I have a lady friend down in TN that I would really like to meet up with.
And would love to meet up with old friends and family.
      But maybe next year.

Darn! I was hoping that you had a diagram of the track with the fast line drawn in red crayon. Thanks anyway Bret. Hope you enjoy Mempho, and you and your son have a great tour!

That was probably me Andrew. my father's house is on Walnut Grove. Man Memphis was swarming with killer cars yesterday. I never made it out to the tour though. ive got some kind of bug thats been kicking my butt. there is a scca autox at millington Saturday and sunday. The track is slick as ****, but I'm going to be there sat unless it's raining. There is usually not much of a turn out , but it's fun and I need the practice. You ought to come out if you aren't busy.

      Karl,

I've been to a couple of autocrosses with the BMW club. They are done running at Millington until the fall, but I hear that the Porsche Club also runs at Millington. I wish I could make it out Saturday, but my gf and I are taking the GTO on a road trip to Texas. We should definitely meet up when I get back.
