Console Screen to display Smart Phone Apps

If you want to be able to use the new screen as a touch screen, you can't just use any monitor. If you just want to mirror what's on your phone, then any monitor will do, as long as it has a 12v power supply. Andrew

Right, the monitor has to have touchscreen capability and needs drivers - I guess the drivers would come with the screen or they are generic as an app download to the phone? A little research indicates resolution seems to be something to be careful with also.

It sounds like you might be better off building a tablet into your dash. Problem solved, unless you want to have the phone functionality.
