First gen F-Body tire size? (What fits)

Please post up your tire sizes on your first gen Camaro and Firebirds. I want to run a 315/35-17 on the rears and I don't know if they will fit. Any suggestions?

I had 315/35/17 under my 67 Camero. I just mini tubed and went to a 335/30/18.

Elrod, 315's without a minitub? What magic wand are you using?
With wheel tubs I extended 2.75" I have a total of 15" (381mm) from inner fender well to quarter lip.

Stock that same measurement would be 12.25 (311mm). I can't possibly see how you wouldn't have severe rubbing issues.

With a minitub you should have no problems with the correct wheel fitment.

You're going to need a wider wheel. I'm pretty certain most 315's recommended minimum is 11". It's much more preferred to be on the high end of the recommended wheel width to flatten out the tire and provide a more predictable sidewall.

With a stock width rear axle you'll want roughly 4.25 - 4.5" of front space. Everything else needs to be backspace.
