Energy Suspension Body Bushing Help - A-Body

Ok, I read through the directions, sorted out all the parts, then went to attempt the installation which by all means a monkey should be able to do.

But the directions dont match what I think should happen.

Starting with the pictures in the instructions that show the stack - it appears as if the bushings should fit inside each other. Well they dont. Not even close really.

Question pertaining to position #2 - shows, again, the boss on the bottom bushing going up through the "bracket" (which is the bracket welded to the firewall with the access hole) but I can assure you the hole going up through this bracket is only slightly larger than the bolt that sammishes the whole thing to together. So its my thought that the bushings should go boss down through the much larger hole in the frame to help keep the bushings located and have the larger flat surface of the bushing against the body. Is that right?

Also, I found a couple threads pertaining to Energy Suspension installation but the pictures had been removed. Any help on this will be much appreciated.

Yeah, my #2 when I pulled the car apart had the bushings all underneath the bracket/body, not like the diagram shows (pretty sure they were original). All that was on top of the bracket was a big square nut.

Which is how it should be. I ended up just throwing the directions away that came with the bushings and just matching up parts as I went.

Wasnt a big deal. The whole thing that had me concerned was the fact they showed one bushing going up into the other bushing. Which isnt accurate on these cars.

I finished the install about a month ago and have been driving squeak free ever since!
