      Scout-Zilla

Well here it goes, I'm fairly new to the forums have only been reading and drooling over rides and after i sold my 2wd 73 Blazer i have missed driving with the top down so to speak so i have access to a 1994 Firebird with an LT-1 and the T56 so I figured why the hell not after i sold the 4wd parts to the scout its been sitting on pallets at my uncles i figure it would be a fun project for me and my son to build

Sweet! I have wanted to do one of these as well. I love the idea of the odd balls being built into something they were never intended to be.

2 weeks ago I saw a scout on the autocross track during the Texas Goodguys show. I have a 76 scout and a 75 truck and if the engines ever let go LS the way i will go. Please post pictures during swap, i would really like to see the progress. Good Luck.

Im kinda going for a DTM look and I doubt ill use any of the original frame durign the build but this is just an idea im rattling around and as far as updates Im moving into a new shop at the first of the month so i haven't done anything but pack up the shop Im in now in to move the damn thing lol so let me know what u think

Since you're planning on slamming it, I'm wondering how much of that Firebird did you plan to use? Because the wheelbases are within about an inch! I'm thinking with the proper cutting, you have the potential to do a rebody and keep the suspension intact and everything.

My buddy wants to make a drag car out of it and i haven't made up my mind on the front suspension yet Im so early in this project im just tryign to figure out my direction and whats possible, and when i say "possible" that also include affordability lol my plan was to use the whole front sub-frame of the firebird but im its all up in the air right now

so 10 days i move into the new shop and right now i am contemplating what kind of front suspension I wanna use. I plan on using a the new Camaro wheels that are 20's but till i get the front clip out of the firbird i dont know if they will work but we shall see not worried about the bolt pattern thats an easy fix but not sure about the offset yet. I am just not crazy about the strut front end, but I am trying not to break the bank with this damn thing lol but the idea of bending up my own a-arms has crossed my mind but we will cross that bridge when we get there

If you can get it close to looking like your photoshop concept, it will be sick! Even 2-tone.....

Yeah I am looking at stock BMW wheels now and i think I am going to build an Independence front suspension so i can have some more flexibility than a strut front end

that's awesome! We've been building drop-in radiators for scouts for years (mostly LS, but a few others). Would be sick to see this on the track
