      Fast 92mm

      hi guys
      is anyone using the new 92mm fast black inlet manifold ???? is it worth the $950us or should i just keep my kiwi dollar?? i really like the look of this manifold & am wanting just bolt on inprovements for now. cheers kabrka

      The dyno test we've done on the 102 mm showed only a 6 hp gain on a built 427 LS and the gain was way up top in the rpm range. If you had no manifold or you were replacing a truck manifold for a car manifold then it's probably worth the investment but if you already have a manifold it probably isn't. The LS6 manifold is pretty hard to beat for cathedral port heads.

      Basically, the FAST intakes are for max effort people or people who need an intake. The dollar per HP is not there. There are other bang for the buck ways to increase power on the LS.

      Have you done headers? Cam? Pulley? Heads?

      I think the fast 92 uses the ls1 style injectors if that matters for you unlike the newer 102mm intakes. The best fast is the truck lsxrt if you can fit it.

      thanks for replys guys motor is in my 67 camaro & has been running fine but was chasing a little ka-pow if ya get my driff!!!. i have purchased a manifold & throttle body off e-bay $1200us the pair best deal i could find here within 5-8 days (fingers crossed). motor is pretty much standard apart form ecm re-flash headers fabed up cold air intake so hopefully see some gain if not it looks better than crapppy factory one hey!!! cheers kabrka
