What ever happened with the rear sub-frame? I really am interested. I have so much invested in the front suspension i almost have to stick with it.

Currently have been slammed with work that I have not had time to look if we can make a sellable rear stub.. We just started driving a car with our 3 link system & so far all is looking good.. but still not ready to sell outside of shop builds..

This weekend we just done testing the Challenger as if we were taking it to a event.. The car was on the road course for the first time & got one of the best guys to come out a do some testing for us on the road course plus give me some driving instruction... Danny Popp! In 2013 while attending events in the mid-west I was fortunate enough to become friends with Danny & asked him late in the year if he would come in to So Cal to help do some evaluating on the Challenger which has all JCG front & rear suspension.. & let's just say that I am finally relived that I have finished testing this prototype that was built into this car.. Danny drove the car to it full capability & asked him to spare it no mercy! The car performed well for it first outing on the road course.. Still have a few small bugs to dial out but we are close.. Karl also came into town to drive the Challenger for the first time & when I dropped him off this morning @ the airport was very happy @ the results of the Challenger!

When we left Oxnard Friday morning.. The car had 502 miles on it.. We drove it from the shop to Buttonwillow & put about 280 miles on it round trip plus ran it all day on all sessions that we were allowed.. Then we Auto-X on Saturday all day only giving the car about 30 minutes break between runs.. Karl, Danny, Casey & I were driving it all day.. Drove the car back to the shop.. Car has about 960 miles on it now! It never was loaded on the trailer & survived the abuse of this weekend.. Only made an adjustment to the shocks, panard bar & checked tire pressures when required..

Danny has named the car "BARNEY" Big, Fat, & Happy!

Here is a action shot that Casey took..

The '72 Chevelle is getting fitted for her new skirt and a butt reduction.. We have thrown the original bumper in the scrap heap and Edwin is building a new rear bumper that will flow with the rest of the car.

The '68 Chevelle is out of the paint booth and in the assembly stage.. Lots of parts are rollin in and getting fitted. Won't be long before she is road worthy.

I know this is an older build, but it is an on going build. We are constantly trying to improve upon our previous work. Here is a link to the new video from Mike from DRIVE.

It was off the car and we sent them out to get powder coated. However, we do paint similar things here in the shop quite often. To prep it you simply need to scuff the pieces, the paint will need something to bite to and the polished surface is not sufficient. Red scotch-brite pad will work well for something like that. After its scuffed simply clean it with an acetone or similar product. Then apply paint; an etching primer then the color you wish. Grade and type of paint will depend on your desired finish.

You guys do some awesome work, but I am not a fan of the "cow-catcher" front spoilers unless it's on track only cars.
      Very nice work indeed!

We're bringing this thread back to touch base on some of the progress we have been making. First up is a 69 Camaro that we have been working on for some time. This car is built using our JCG first gen Camaro subframe and three link.

The engine is a Mast Motorsports LS7 motivated by a whipple 2.9 supercharger. Engine management is handled by a Mast Motorsports ECU and wiring is being completed using American Autowire components. Power goes to a 9" rear tgrough a Tremec T56 6 speed transmission.

Fuel is getting to the injectors from a Ricks Stainless/ JCG built system using GM modules and a vaporworx control module. Exhaust then leaves through a JCG X-pipe and Borla mufflers.

The car is sitting on 19" Forgeline wheels front and rear, and will be using a Wilwood 6 piston front and 4 piston rear brake setup.

There is much more to this car, and as we progress, I will be updating this thread. Thanks!
      -Ryan

The latest update here at JCG has been with the 1970 Corvette Cris purchased back in 2015. Some of you may remember this original LT1 car had previously spent some time in the Nor-Cal area where it had seen quite a few race days. At that time, it was powered by a 13:1 small block Chevy.
Cris was able to get his feet wet at an SCCA auto cross event and then the car came back South.

With help from Van Steel Corvettes and RAFT, the suspension was brough up to speed using JRI double adjustable shocks and Eibach Springs.

A Borgerson steering box was added in addition to Wilwood front and rear disc brakes and a Wilwood master cylinder and proportioning valve.
The small block was removed in favor of a Mullenix Racing Engines LS6. This ensured the car remained streetable without sacrificing any of the performance that would be required. The engine is mated to a Legend and Gear Transmission LGT-700 5 speed and uses a RAFT Motorsports clutch with Wilwood hydraulics.

Regarding fuel, we worked together with vaporworx and using a GM module, we were able to come up with a fuel system that was practical and serviceable.

Aesthetically, the car was stripped and repainted with Mopar F8 Green. Vents were also added to the hood to aid in heat management.

Inside the car is an assortment of Autometer gauges and to wrap everything together, the car is sitting on a set of 18" Forgeline GA3R wheels.
