The '73 is coming right along. We made a lot of progress on it this last week. Subframe and Motor are installed, Rear Suspension is in place, Gas Tank is going up, Fuel/Brake lines are done, A/C & Heater System is in, All the Engine Bay Accessories are going in today and we have a good start on the wiring. I am really hoping to have her firing in the next two weeks. Still have some parts to get on order for that to happen though..

Would you mind expanding on how the body line was retained in the flare. It looks great.

Is that an LS in that Challenger? It's not really going to stay is it?

More surprised than anything. I'm the last person you would call a purist, just look at my hacked up 'Cuda, just always thought a car needed to retain it's engine family to keep it's personality. You'll definitely gets lots of attention and opinions with that one.

You've got some nice stuff going on

If you look closely, we actually re-created the the flare panel. Our guys mocked the curves, fender lip and body line.. Just with a little more flare obviously. Once the piece is fitted we just cut the original section of the fender out.

Yes it is an LS. We agree with you about keeping the engine family to retain personality.. But on the flip side of the coin, we build quite a bit of race ready cars here. So on the track are only goal is first place, not style or personality points. Not saying that LS is the be all end all of engines. However, we can gain cubic inches and stay small, parts are very readily available (especially at the track, because most cars are running LS's), for the most part they are inexpensive to get and maintain and most importantly we have a lot of them and many, many parts for them here at the shop.

So bottom line is we are using this car as a "test car" to test/tune the sub-frame and suspension components we design and make and this was the most inexpensive way to do that considering we already do a lot of LS conversions.

When we are finished with her, it's most likely she will get a monster HEMI and roll down the Blvd with her head high. but for now, shes our dirty little secret..

Yeah, I know. Story of my life as today I am currently machining parts for the dry sump system on my Mopar that no one makes parts for!!! Should have build a Camaro and used an LS, I'd have been driving years ago....

Blame it on DaimlerChrysler for their miserable relationship with the aftermarket in regards to ECU software for the lack of ModernHemi fanbase. They are great engines from a mechanical perspective but us AMG guys are s tuck with the same handicap. There'd be LS9s dropped in many 5.5 powered AMGs from 03-08 that cracked a ringland and found out that a new block cost $17,000 bare, except for the remainder of the CanBus module network would then fail to work and the car wouldn't drive.

Beautiful work, I can't wait to see it done.

Thank you for the compliment. I contribute everything we do to a great team. We have a core group of 5 people that make all this happen, without anyone of them, this doesn't work out the same.

All joking aside JCG makes my jaw drop on a regular basis. I appreciate you posting progress and taking time to explain things to non-paying/non-customers haha. No doubt you have a good squad making some amazing rides. Keep it up!

No doubt you guys make some bad ass one off rides, I've been to your shop before the re-model. I'm sure the extra space and organization methods are coming in handy. Skills for sure. Keep up the good work, your rides always inspire me and keep me pushing forward. My hat off to you guys....
