      Seats Camaro Vs GTO

I'm building a 78 Trans Am right now and thinking about new front and rear seats. I was looking at 04-06 gto seats and they look good and I know they will fit well in Trans Am. The only reason I'm looking into Camaro seats is because instead of spending $800-1,000 on a set from a gto I can find a set for a camaro for about $650-700. Does anyone know if those seats would fit well in my car? Or what do yall think would be good seats?

I'd be looking for a set of Used Sparco 505 in that price range as they come up from time to time and fit our cars very well.... There are a set of re-pop seats that mimic the 505 I was told about that I have to look into that can be bought new for close on to that number too... The GTQ and Audi 4 (stock seats) tend to be too tall when placed in our 2nd Gens (A4 know that from experience)... Anyway the below should give you a feel for both the A4 and 505....

If you are over 6' tall the GTO seats will be too tall. I have them in my 71 Bird and they look great; however I barely fit in the car ( I am 6' 3") and can't even wear a ball cap never mind a helmet.
x2 on the Sparcos I am going that route with my current build.

I have 4th gen seats in my 77 and I cannot wear a helmet. I do not think I can lower them anymore unless perhaps I ditch the power assembly. 6' tall. I do not know how the floor changes in 75 impact fitment & headroom.

I know these are not as new, but I'm running 89 gta seats with the air lumbar they are fully adjustable fit my 6'4" 200lb frame well and were cheap.

GTO seats are fat, ugly and sit too high. Personally I think the firebird seats look even better than the Camaro seats because of the removable vs. fixed headrests. I personally don't like high fixed headrests in classics.

The headrests easily removed if the look is what your going for...safety wise its there for a reason. Having said that remove the back panel and the access to the headrest "rods" and guides are right there. Now if your going to mention of the holes left katzkin makes covers which attach exactly like the factory ones and you can customize the stitch pattern and colours giving you a awesome custom look for no more then 1000$

There's a set of GTO seats on eBay right now for $600, and that's what I paid for mine. I'm 6'4" and I don't have headroom issues either.

Thats kind of what I was thinking - Its not safe to bolt the 4 point rear to the seat bolts correct?

I have 04 GTO seats in my 72 GTO. The 04 track is really tall and doesnt bolt right in. Ive seen people make them work but thay still sat to high. I reused my 72 factory tracks. In doing so I lost a couple of the controls but I still have power recline, but the rest is now manual. Great seats, Ive taken a few long trips and done some of the Power Tour with them. Oh Im right at 6' tall
