      valvetrain question

I am getting ready to send my LS3 to the machine shop. I have picked out a camshaft and I running SLP lifters that are calibrated for stock pushrods. I currently have stock pushrods and LS3 lifters. I know a lot of people run LS7 lifters and I have seen a few people post about LS3 lifter failure. Anybody have any opinions on whether I should go ahead and upgrade to aftermarket pushrods and LS7 lifters?

The LS7 lifters are a great lifter!... when ordering replacement lifters from GM thats what you get now. I have installed a lot of LS7 lifters when doing cam swaps in my motors....most certainly every time I pull the heads for any reason. Stock LS3 push rods are perfectly fine, but if you want to go with a good aftermarket chromoly pushrod now would be the time
