      C6 Z06 Rims on a '68 Camaro?

      I've searched the site, but haven't had much luck finding out any info on if these rims can fit on a '68 Camaro with a DSE mini-tub and stock 12-bolt rearend. I know I need a deep BS around 7 in the rear to fit and from my conclusion from the site listed below these rear rims have a 8.5 inch BS so I would need a 2.5in spacer to fit them, that seems kinda big/dangerous. Any info anyone has about getting these rims on a Camaro would be awesome.

      **EDIT I went through google and found alot more info on the site about these, I am still curious about the safety of wheel spacers as I plan to push this car pretty hard and don't feel like losing a wheel.

      Those look like fake Corvette wheels, why not take a look at Weld RT/S wheels which can be purchased with the exact back space you need.

      If you decide to pick up the wheels and plan on driving the car hard I have a set of 2 1/2" hubcentric spacers that I used when I ran my car on the road course with Vette wheels. They were custom made from Alcoa aluminum, have ARP 1/2" wheel studs, and I paid $425 for the set. If you are going to run on the track you dont want junk spacers and you need to be sure they are hucentric. I used 1 1/2" in the rear and 2 1/2" up front. PM me if interested.

      Do you have a factory 12 bolt in the car already? I noticed in another thread you posted that you are thinking of putting a aftermarket suspension under the 68. We offer a Torque Arm rear suspension that might simplify your build.....

      We offer a Torque Arm rear suspension kit with a Ford 9" Strange housing for guys who want custom offsets for only $600 more.




      With our 9” rear setup it will allow up to a 345 tire on a rim up to 13" wide with the mini-tubs to accommodate them.

      We can build the 9" ranging from OE wheel offset up to 5" narrowed (2.5" per side). Although most Pro-Touring style builds spec out the rear to be as narrow as possible for negative offset wheels, it is a piece of cake to order a wider than normal housing for positive offset wheels like these.

      Some builders order the wheels first, mock them up in the car then tell us what width you need the rear.

      Well I just picked up a set of genuine C6 rims, $600 hopefully I can get them to fit.

      c5 wheels on 68 camaro

      knock off c5 wheels with 9.5 wide with 56 mm offset, roughly 7.5 backspace, used a 2" backspace to mount wheels with 275 35 18 tires at all four corners.

      No clearance issues running a 9.5" width wheel with a 275 tire on a First Gen? Stock front subframe?
