      1969 nova project "livewire"

Hey guys. Im building a 69 pro touring nova. Im 17 so its kind of a budget build. For a 17 year old i know a good amount about cars but any info you guys have helps.
im calling this project "livewire" because its going to be a pearl orange that looks similar to the mountain dew livewire. Now about the car. i bought the car with the intent of doing some light body work and then spraying it. Well that plan changed. The car ended up going down to bare metal and getting a few panels replaced. As of right now the motor is out and im starting to smoothing to the firewall. Then the body work begins.

I'll definitely be watching this one as I'd love to build a Nova one day.

What are the plans for the car?

its gona be a budget pro touring build. its gona be my daily driver so im giving it a few suspension upgrades and other touches to make it a fun and safe daily driver. the cars gona be pearl orange with some sort of white, black or grey striping going on. (not sure of color or stripe style). the interior is going to be stock appearing but kind of custom. its gona be sitting on some 18in wheels. not sure what wheels im doing because of $$$ and being 17 i dont have alot of $$$ lol

well its been awhile so heres a list of wat ive done. pics to follow. first i custom made a firewall panel. after that was welded in i pulled the front subframe off and found out is was tweaked so i got one with power steering and power disc breaks for $200. so now the subframe and firewall are getting cleaned up and painted. then i found a set of z06 vette rims for cheap so i snagged them up and then found a rearend and rear suspension from a 97 trans am that has the torque arm design like the speed tech nove. so being its a budget build i bout it for $150. now tomorrow im going to get everything all lined up and start making and welding brakets for it. ill post pics of the progress tomorrow.

work looks good.. good job and stay with it, cant wait to see some updates.. i blew a 72 nova with a bigblock up on my prom night racing a friends dads 355 spider on the highway. i lost both the race and the motor..when ended up rebuilding it for many more years of abuse.. that is one of them wish we never got rid off.
