      GG Del Mar pics.

If anyone has any additional pics of the GG Fall Del Mar event post them up. I only went Sunday so I don't have a whole lot of pics. I did get there in time to see some of our own from P-T.com throw down on the track. B of S cars definitely look good on the track!

We saw this guy (the white Lucura LC470) on our ride home Sat night. He said he was going to show on Sun at the Autocross. Do you have any time information for this Zo6 based 2,000 lbs car? Looked way cool on the freeway.

I looked at his promo cards he had stuck under his winshield. Very nice looking car. There were two big tubes (about 5" round) that made up his front sub. Cooling for everything, i.e. p/s, oil, ..... Smart looking radiator position and flow to it looked good but still retained aero. I didn't keep the card that had all the selling points because I figured if I got more interested in it I could just google LC470.
In person the car looks much smarter than a Cobra replica. It looked like it was on an icy lake on the auto-X. Looked like he got frustrated and just started doing donuts in the middle of his run. Looked fun but turned an atrocious time.

I spoke with the owner a bit, and every question asked was answered with "I don't know (insert shop name here) set it up that way." He was 2 seconds slower than the trucks and full bodied cars that won their respective classes. With a different driver, I'm sure it had much more potential. Very cool concept for a car.

I did two runs in the white car. Drove nice, good traction due to the rear weight bias. I think I did a 53 1st run & 52 or 51 second run. Could have done better with more runs.
67 Camaro RS that will be faster than anything Mary owns.

Great event.. Once again Mr Pozzi went faster in my car than I did.. need to dial in the shocks for the new rear Hellwig sway bar.

I had a blast both times out in Penny - once with Dave at the wheel (some of that backwards) and then with Steve - have never hit 2nd gear in Penny with the 460ci on the autocross before - Holy mother of God... Then again, Bret V always manages to overshadow Disneyland as the most fun place on earth when I ride with him (this time in the in the 48hr Camaro). Balls-to-the-wall - you could swear he had actually just stolen the car LOL!

All in all, a fun weekend. Was great to see a lot of PT guys stop by to see the car inside (currently relegated to show-car status lol). Appreciate all the positive feedback on the car.

Here's a quick shot before we loaded up on Sunday and headed back to the shop.

Yea, it's nice not having to shift.. Mary drove it and now she wants me to build her a big-inch LS since, in her car, she was shifting all over the place.

And congrats on your '69 winning the "builder's choice" award.. that's quite an honor!

Sweeeeet shots Jon, amazing to see the cars in different suspension poses. I especially like Rob P's truck in full drift with Renner as passenger. That was a wild run.
