      Anybody running Nitto Invos

We got them here on a vette at work. They look great and hear they're very quiet. Anybody have personal experince with them? Im currently running Falken FK452s. Ready for new set though.

If you like the tread design, then they are a good tire. It's a love it or hate it tread design, but performance wise, we've had good luck with them. The local vette clubs prefer them in some cases to the NT05, because they perform well at the track, but last a little longer. I ran them on my 67 Nova and was happy with them after I got past their looks.

I had INVOs on my truck and I loved them, Wet driving was actually really good. I only drove my truck once in the rain but it was over a winding mountain pass and was cruising well at 70 mph and felt very confidant in the tires.

I need to make a decision between the Invo or NT05 in a few days. The car will see about 2500 street miles per year and an autocross maybe 3 per year. I'm a little concerned about the NT05 wet traction and tread wear. (And I like the look of the tread pattern better than the BFG KDW). Would the Invo not be a better choice?

Another vote for the Invo, my buddy just put them on his 2010 camaro. In our part of Florida we see ALOT of rain, I can personally attest these tires are one of the best for wet traction.

Oh Boy..... I need help too...

I will have to make a decision in the next few Weeks..I was going with the KDW's, but now I don't know....

I won't be driving in the rain, and mostly Hard driving and Cornering...

Some Hard launches , Tire roasting....

Not looking for Mileage out of the tires...So wearing out fast is not a Problem...

Do you still think the Invo's are the best ??

If not, which Tire ??? Thanks..

For you? Based on what you are planning to do? No way on the Invo's.

I'd say either R Comp (NT01) or NT05 for you. With your performance-first plans, don't get an all-around tire like the Invo. Leaving a lot on the table.

      Flash68.

      Thanks.
I have to decide if i will ever drive in the wet weather.

Also, Performance is first, and I would rather wear them out, than to have them sit for years with tread on them.

They then become hard , with a lot of tread left.

I loved the look and stickiness of the Tires that you mentioned. They look like the old Yokayama's from the 80'....

One problem..I am running 18" fronts , and 19" rears...

The rears are hard to get in the size I want...Around a 295 or 305 max,35/19.

The fronts are 18", and I could buy Nitto's... I want it to bite hard....But I think I should keep the same tires..

KDW2's come in that size , but not the Nitto's...

I have had this problem before with my 15" rims....After 1990's, it was really hard to get VR/ZR Tires in 15"'s...

Man, I am remodeling my Home, Money Pit, and picking colors, moldings, flooring, has me crazy..

Now with the car, it is, Wheels, Seats, Steering Wheel, Tires, .....

At least the Brakes, Suspension, and Wheels are picked..

But Tires....I would buy the Sticky tires in a minute if they would come in the right size..

After Coil over, and New Brakes and Suspension, and so much more, I want a Quiet, Sticky Tire..

Back in the 80's , i had some of the first Gatorbacks on a Muscle car....They were some of the stickiest, quiet, tires I have ever had...I had a set of P7's that I just loved....All 9000 Miles of them...

295/35/19......That is the size i am having problems with...

      Happy Thanksgiving...

Mike, I am in the same boat as you man. Im wanting a 295/35/19, however there is only 1 street tire in that size and thats the BFG KDW tire, the Nitto NT05s widest tires are a 275 and a 335 in 19" sizes. I have actually just decided to go with the Invo 305/30/19s myself.

That's another thing you have to consider with tire selection, is the tire your looking at really going to have the sizes you need.

The only other tires that I know of that are 295/35/19, is the Hoosier A6 and R6. And the only 305/35/19 I have found is a Mickey Thompson Street Radial.

If its a taller tire your looking for, 285/35/19s are pretty common and are available in several different tire choices.

      I may do that...

I would sacrifice a small amount of width, for a better tire.

      285/35/19.....that may be it...

Being a "brand loyal" guy who supports the guys that support our Pro-Touring hobby I will say to just buy the KDW's and be done with it. We are happy with track and auto-x performance, but street driving is just flat out awesome. Just about every road trip we've been on it has rained and the tires performed flawlessly.
