The problem with that is it's roofing stuff... it's not sound deadening material... stuff does not stick anywhere near as well as dynamat or 2nd skin. It's an asphalt type, not the same stuff. Do research before you consider buying the roofing stuff, also do the math for what it would cost to cover your car.
There have been MANY forum threads (not just here) about using the roofing stuff. It will work to some degree, but not like the real sound deadening material. From what I've read once it gets hot, it starts to fall off & starts to smell like asphalt/tar meaning fumes (toxic???? I don't know). Not to come against your suggestion 70'455HO, it's just that I considered it once until I started researching it a bit more. This of course is just my opinion on this topic.
