I used 2 Dynamat Extreme bulk packages to cover floor, ceiling and doors on my 68 Camaro. That should be about right for your application too.

They also sale an all-ready made pack for the 1st gen, not sure about the second gen but my first gen already made dynamat pack was cheaper than the roles I would have had to buy

A cheaper alternative for Dynamat is aluminum backed self adhesive roofing strip that you can buy at Lowes. Comes in like a 12" roll I think, for like $13 a roll.

If you google dynamat alternative, it should pop up I think.

The problem with that is it's roofing stuff... it's not sound deadening material... stuff does not stick anywhere near as well as dynamat or 2nd skin. It's an asphalt type, not the same stuff. Do research before you consider buying the roofing stuff, also do the math for what it would cost to cover your car.

There have been MANY forum threads (not just here) about using the roofing stuff. It will work to some degree, but not like the real sound deadening material. From what I've read once it gets hot, it starts to fall off & starts to smell like asphalt/tar meaning fumes (toxic???? I don't know). Not to come against your suggestion 70'455HO, it's just that I considered it once until I started researching it a bit more. This of course is just my opinion on this topic.

I'll second Brads comment. The cheap stuff is kind of hard to keep on sometimes. Dynamat and Second Skin Damplifier are hard to get off Even after it's been on for a while. It's a really good thing - until you are working on the car and need to get it off. That stuff is GOOD!

Definitely get the name brand stuff (Dynamat, SecondSkin). There's an old Russian saying that says "I'm not rich enough to buy cheap stuff" meaning that if you get the cheap stuff, you will end up replacing it for the better stuff and spending more money ;)

I used about 2 Extreme Bulk Packs for my entire 68 Camaro less doors (trunk, roof, package tray, quarters, behind rear seat, some dashboard).
