      th350 question

      i have a th350 in my chevelle and i bolted it all up and while filling the tranny fluid i noticed it leaking from behinfd the converter which i got three clicks when i put on . so i pulled it out and checked the seal on tranny and its sealed and put it back up and same situation. any help or advice. thanks joel

      Even very small nicks in the shaft seal can cause a fluid leak. Did you check both surfaces ie the seal ring and the tc shaft for any damage or debris that could be causing the leak? In addition the tranny seal will have a round spring on the back of it that keeps tension on the seal just like on an axle shaft seal. Did you check to make sure the spring is seated properly? make sure of this because a) it will cause a leak and b) it will eventually get pulled into the tranny internals and destroy everything.

      so took front seal out also front pump put it back in the car and it did it again took converter off and found a crack in the hub last time i buy a summit converter lol

      Yep-I doubt the Chinese know much about assembling torque converters...lol...damn mail order performance parts! Support your local speed shops!
