      Scale update

Okay I rescaled the car today after the DSE suspension products were installed. As seen on the first page of this thread you might have noticed that my corner weights were of quite a bit, here is a example so you don't have to go back to look at what they were.

      Old measurements (Stock suspension)

      997-* *-956 = (41 lb diff)

      695-* *-741 = (46 lb diff) resulting in a 56.6% / 42.4% weight bias.

Now here are the measurements AFTER the DSE products were installed.

      976-* *-979 = ( 3 lb diff )

      728-* *-728 = (Zero lb diff) resulting in a new 56.8% / 43.1% weight bias.

I have the scales now at the garage and we will be doing some changes to better this current weight bias.

Great write-up! Pretty amazing how the DSE kit evened out your corner weights. You said you're going to try improving these, I'm guessing you're planning to move some things around to change front/rear split?

Correct, We plan to get a fiberglass hood and see what that does, then possibly add weight to the rear to get to the desired weight bias.

Cool, can't wait to see how that works out. Is your battery already in the trunk? If not, moving it to the center of the raised portion of the trunk would be a great start.

      Thanks for all the pics,

Matt, At the moment it is still up front but were moving it back in the trunk after we see what the F/G hood does. Then we are installing the BAER track 4 front & rear set up, then another Scale to see what that done... "One step at a time, Measure, then take the next step"!

*The turbo was sent in to have a special exhaust housing milled to fit my turbo to gain quicker spool up..

*The seat brackets were cut and lowered 1 1/2" - 2" to lower my center of gravity some and give me more room for the helmet...

*Still up in the air yet on if I want to add the GNX fender flare's and do the mods to the wheel wells like ASC done...

Looks like a fun month of modding ahead. I think you should add the flares and make a kit to duplicate the way the X was done. (fender, quarter cuts and brackets)

      Scot

I Agree with Nasty GN, those flares would look awesome and it should be done for clearance just like the guys at ASC did. Instead of flaring out the fenders like NASCAR did (wich I really want to do) I plan on doing the GNX flares the right way on mine.

Heres a Picture of a GN done in all white with the GNX flares to inspire you

Here's a pic of a Turbo-T DRBUICK from the V8BUICK.COM board, it has correct GNX mods done to use the Flares, he's running 17x10's with 285/40/17s on the fronts, & on the rears 17x11's with 315/35/17's and lowered.
