I've always loved your car, a real warrior, street or track. Cool.

      Mine:

318, 904 right now... 360, 4speed overdrive soon. I get 15 mpg on short trips, up to 22 on longer ones. Suspension and brake mods. Simple for now... Starting to get serious.

OK guys, here's an update. So I drove Medusa for 3 days (90 miles one way to work) And if cost me a whopping $150 for those 3 days in gas. I decided to rent a 4 banger import, I hate it but being a single dad I have to save where ever I can. I hope I don’t get banned from here, haha !
To top it off, my claim is still in limbo from both ins. company's. What a major pile of steaming Sh*t! My budget will be tight, I hope i get my claim settled very very soon !

If you guys have any advice, im all ears !

You're getting about the same MPG as me. DOH. My commute is 60mi round trip, so I can make it to work twice on a tank safely. After 130mi my tank reads 'E' but I've only ever put 12gallons in it, so the sender is worthless....but I'm not willing to risk it.

I know it's bad when taking my lifted Silverado is more economical!

I don't blame you, it's not cheap putting premium in at $3/gal and getting 10-12mpg. I'll be putting about 500 miles on it this weekend. Show Sat AM, a bigger cruise in Sat Night, then the drag races in WI Sunday. 60mi round trip for the 1st, 130mi for the 2nd show, then 260 round trip for the drags.

I hear you guys on the fuel tank sending unit(s) mine is all messed up. It reads half empty, after burning 6 gallons, and empty after 15 gallons. The tank is 22 gallons.

Hey, but I got 16 mpg on the mountain stretch, with lots of hills, and some spirited pro-touring style driving. Not bad for a big block ;)

A dash pic; Note the construction... I had gravel in my brake scoops and even inside the engine bay, on the intake manifold! 30 miles of road repairs - resurfacing

I drove it daily until about three months ago. I think I'll take it to work tomorrow. Rouge, that is one bad ass car.

Have to admit that I finally caved and bought a new daily... I feel kinda lame for it, but the car is actually pretty awesome which kinda makes up for the lameness of it being a new car:

Well until I left Florida this was my daily driver, even went on a couple of trips from FL to NY through the Outer Banks and what not. Man I miss it! Ill have to ship it over ASAP!

I have used mine daily for 1,5 year (before the last rebuild) first a rock through my window and the big dent in my door made me decide to put it away.

I havent driven it much last year and maybe I should just take it out more (trouble is I have a company car that's almost free, even fuel)

it's lower now and has a bigger (thirstier) motor so I don't think it will become a daily....building a 62 Nova now for a daily on a budget, very mild build not full out PT.
