      Tranny Cover

Anyone have any advice about fabing a tranny cover for a TKO trans? I've had to carve out a substantial bit of my tranny tunnel and now need to cover it. I'm working on a paper template but could use advice and photos of any similar project...

      1) what gauge steel should I use?
      2) should I weld or is riveting fine?
      3) is it better to make a rounded cover or flat on top? (I want to adapt some type of console as well... so is flat or round better?

      any help appreciated. thanks.

i'd use something around 18 ga. sheet metal. And i would Def. weld it but thats just my opinion... Also i'd make it look as close as stock as possible because it'l look more origional, stock console might fit
