For articulation and simple adjustments I would have to go with the 3 link with watts.

For a simple available kit I'd go tri four link with watts linkage.

for easy easy, stick with the leafs and put your money in the shocks and brakes.

Thanks for the link, I definitely want the best so I think I should wait and hit some track days with these guys to see how well my existing set up compares.

I,m definitely going to be hitting a lot of timed events and even added another Buttonwillow event to my list.

I talked to Jimi Day and he said there will be a few early Camaros at the Spectre341Challenge so I will be able to compare my times and set up with them also.

Who Knows, maybe I will do well with just the traditional leaf spring set up and a good set of shocks.

      Thanks again for the link.

Your best bet is to go to some events, talk with the guys that actually build the susp systems and go from there. There are many good choices that would suit you.

If you can find one - Lateral Dynamics can't be beat

I think they went out of business though

If I could find a Lateral Dynamics set up that is what I'd do. Problem is they are out of business. Do they have a patent on that set up? Would there be any legal issues with somebody duplicating it? Thats the million dollar question for me.

I like AME's set up. if your going to do the fab of a 3 link, I would rather change the rails (which are stronger) and everything is jig welded. I think fab time would be less then LD's kit.

You get the entire deal with the housing in the low $4K range ready to go.

If you have a first gen Camaro the rails are form fitted to you stock floor, you drill out your factory rails, put a relief in the tunnel area for the upper link and weld the entire clip in. No chance of screwing up the geomtry. Killer set up for a full on effort. And if you car needs rear rails anyway? It is a complete no brainer. Cost wise, by the time you buy any other quality kit, add a housing, then add repro rails, your at the same money or more then the AME kit.

The AME kit it also comes in tri angle 4 link which requires no relief cuts in the floor and full back seat.

And soon will come with our "3 / 4 link" multi purpose suspension we are using in Project unfair.

      You asked for the best?

NOTE: the photo below is a universal 3 link package, NOT the Camaro package, but very similar.

And option 2 would be the AME triangle 4 link kit which welds UNDER the factory floor.

Rumor on the street is that in back to back testing the performance difference between the 4 link and 3 link is almost un measurable. But the 3 link ultimately has more tune ability for any situation

Thanks Frank, I'm not gonna say I'm not concerned about cost, but reality is if its the best I'll spend it. Its going to take time to decide which direction to go because I dont want to be throwing money in the wrong direction.

The direction I am taking with my car is pointed toward being one of the fastest road course cars out there and I am not concerned with cutting up the floor or overly concerned with driveability on the street.

The only way I am going to get proof of whats the best is starting with what I have and running up against other cars with different setups.

I heard the One Lap car is going to be at the Spectre341Challenge so I will have the opportunity to compare times with him.

I am trying to convince Steve Rupp to show up also. I share Steve's concerns but hopefully he'll change his mind and enter also.

I see what you do for every body on this site and want to throw business your way I just wish you weren't all the way out on the east coast.

Regardless, I'd like to keep you posted on the tendencies my car is experiencing on the track so that hopefully you can help me tune her in the right direction. And no worries, we all know alot of this work is trial and error.

      Thanks Again.
