      Leaf Spring Install Question

Feel kinda silly asking this but...

Does it matter if the bolts are tightened with it on the ground? I was told the springs would settle, but after a few rears it's still jacked high in the back. I was wondering if perhaps they installed with the car on lift, and whether that would affect anything.

What springs did you install? Can you post pics?

They were built by a (at the time) local shop years ago. This was before I got on this board. Otherwise I would've been more selective.

Well , you can always put the car on a drive-on lift and loosen the bolts , then bounce it to settle the car , and re-tighten.

It probably won't make much difference in your ride height , but give it a try..

If I have to remove a leaf (it's a 5 leaf) which one should I take out?
