      4speed ????'s

I am working on a '55 now and it has a 4 spd Muncie. The speedo gear is gone from the trans and I want to replace it. Does anyone know of any p/n's or starting point for me? I know I will have to play around with a few different ones due to tire size. Can I go through GM for these parts? I thought I would ask before I went into the local dealer.

      Thanks.

A good "old timer" parts man at a dealership should be able to set you up. If you get some guy that just keeps asking you what the application is, just run away.

Andrew/Crash....Thanks for the help. The rear axle ratio is 3.73 and the rear tire is 8" wide approx. (235/70/15). I believe we are going to a higher gear soon (numerically lower), however, I would like to get the speedo repaired right for him now. Thanks again.
