That looks awesome. So how exactly do you remove them? You guys say cutting, but what are you cutting? The hose or the "clamp"?

How are you guys reusing them if you have to cut them to remove them?

I bought the tool, but have removed many of them without it. You cut the shrink clamp, not the hose. The hose is reuseable, but not the clamp, one use only.

Got em' from Mcmaster Carr as well. They have been installed for almost three years now will no issues whatsoever. Clean, simple and uniform 360 degrees of clamping force.

      Clamps

I have bought these but not installed them yet. Do you position it so that a little hangs over the end of the hose (prior to shrinking) so it folds down over the end of the hose. Or just even with the end of the hose?

I like them going just past the end of the hose so they roll over and clean up the edge of the hose.

DSE turned me onto these 7-8 years ago, have had them on the car ever since. Not a single problem.

And you don't need the special tool to remove them, you can use the tip of a soldering iron to melt a line in them to get them off without hurting the hose. I even think Gates is the one that suggests that.
