      Step up or Step off

Well I wasn't planning to make it out West for the RTTC event due to the work load I have, but with the limited turn out I feel I must to represent the hobby and hopefully motivate a few in the process to get off their butt's and join in.

With that being said looks like it is time to make the rally cry for a ROAD TRIP. If anyone is interested in heading west with a few crazies please chime in. Will be following mostly the same route along I40 as we did for optima with a small change of stopping at Baer Brakes in Phoenix before hitting I10 for the final leg.

So who is willing to step up?

I'm in! I have a new rollback now so we will have plenty of room between the bed and the trailer for carnage. I can't wait to tear out across the country again, who's in? No excuses, we have backup so no fears about breakage.

It is quite cool that some our east coast breathern are making the trek to the land of fruits and nuts. I can't believe that we are having such a time filling the field out here. It will be great to put names, faces, and car to the screen name too.

      LOL---I like that

Did you guys have quite a bit of promotion for the RTTH events you've had? Did you have a hard time filling up the event the first time out or was it maxed out? I am really surprised as well that the days didn't fill up right away, let alone that we are having a tough time filling up one Sat event. The only reason, besides what you've mentioned, I can fathom is the lack of press on the event. I think with some more promotion it would be a big, well attended event. I sure am looking forward to it---it will be a lot of fun for those of us attending. Someone will need to take out Steve's ps pump again like we did at optima event for a chance at the gold however

I'm thinking maybe we ought to make some flyers . . . then we could solicit at the numerous cruise ins.

I've started to tell my non-pt.com friends. I'll see if I get any bites.

I still think a competitor list with photos of the high profile cars would make a difference. I have no idea if Jackass, Motiv8r etc are coming and I'm registered. Also, a mass email to all the Pro-touring community may get the job done. Some don't frequent the forums that often.

A 2.2 mile road course, autocross, 0-60-0 challenge, a cruise w/ dinner, t-shirt, tents, cones, racing timing equipment, track rental and 5 million dollars insurance policy for $40. But you'll spend $40 to put your suburban in a car show.....now that's funny....lol
