      My project

I'm new to the forum and figured I'd show off my project. I'm a 19-year-old college kid doing everything myself on my own budget, so it isn't exactly a Foose build up.

      It's an 80 Camaro with a 350 and a 4-speed.

Here are a couple current pics:

      And this is the plan:

Here you can check out my cardomain page:

And here's my wannabe pro-touring Beretta. It's not fast, but it takes corners very well. I put a sway bar, front & rear strut braces, bigger wheels on it and KYBs and Eibachs are next on the list.

Let me know what ya think, even about the Beretta...

Oh I got a ton of plans, just need the money to fulfill em.

This year the interior gets the budget. This what I have in my posession or is bought and on the way:

Next year or so: dark blue paint & stripes, kool blue kool street filter

Eventually: Edelbrock EFI, electric fan, electric water pump, T56 tranny, Hotchkis handling upgrades, 18" wheels, and maybe even a supercharger...

There are more specs on my cardomain, I gotta update it some time soon.

Nice Z! My wife (then girlfriend) had a black 79 Z in high school. It was bad to the bone! Her dad sold it out from under her and bought her a 1981 Berlinetta because it was more of a "girl" car!! Sucked for me!

Here's a quick update pic. College ends this Friday, so I'll make a lot more progress when I can work on it more than one day per week.

a friend in high school's dad had a 79 or 80 t-top z28 that was a factory 4 speed with a factory 350, supposedly very rare as they were only made in canada or something, not available in the states with a 350/4spd combo. i think you could get 350/automatic or 305/4-speed. anyway it was a cool car, just like that blue one you posted even had air too. the original engine had gone through by RHS when they lived in tenessee and was a really hot car. when we graduated from high school in 87 that car only had about 35,000 original miles

In 81 GM axed the 350/4-speed except for Canada. Up to 80 the 350/4-speed was a factory combo.

The way my 350 is built right now, we'll just say it's healthy. 10.5:1 compression, Comp cam, Holley double pumper, Weiand aluminum intake, headers, 2.5" mandrel Dynomax dual exhaust, no cats.

Remember, don't get rid of the factory steering wheel, when you change to the other, there getting hard to find,
