      Demon Drama

man...what a week it has been!! got my motor finally fired up in my car...and during the intial cam break in.....the carb was leaning out so I fattened it up a bit. After the cam was broken in...it was running rich...so I leaned it out....then it was running very very poor....so after many nights tuning and re-jetting...turns out the base set up (jets and power valve) that it came with out of the box is the best combo....just cant mess with a good thing i guess!! oh i have a speed demon 650..vac. sec., and an elec choke.

Glad to here that you got it running better, did you end up with the 70-78 jets and 6.5 pv?. Have you tried putting an air cleaner on yet? I had to modify mine to fit around the air horn / linkage.

well I finally found out what was wrong with my carb problem....the stupid timing moved out 8 degress...THAT WILL DO IT. I set it back the way I had it and man does she fly now...I mean night and day difference...no hesitation at all.....she smokes the tires at 60mph if I stomp on it!!!!

I've heard the same, my friend had one on a older GT, and he hated it, he wanted a Holley!
