I got a cost from my guy here that does wraps and he said it'll never look like a satin black paint job (for some reason?) and they run $1800 for a car to $3500 for an suv.

about wraps:
Well… everyone expects vinyl wraps to look like their car’s painted because they see them on the road from a distance. They see all the vehicle’s running around with crazy pictures and advertisement all over them and how cool it looks. However, they never get up close to look at how it’s installed. Printed vinyl is FAR from perfect, especially when it’s not camouflaged with design. Most installs can be manipulated and stretched to fit most of the vehicle, but there are a LOT of relief cuts and overlapping of vinyl when done. That’s why most every wrap you see has a very busy background design. It takes your mind, and eye, off the huge imperfections. Most people have no idea… they just think it looks like an awesome paintjob. With vinyl, after it’s printed, things get caught between the vinyl and laminate making little pimples and imperfections. Things get stretched a little too far in installation and leave white stretch marks, especially on black print. It’s just things like that… that get camouflaged without notice when it’s busy and colorful. You won’t have that luxury with just a flat black.

Maybe.. maybe not. I know him and his work is top notch, but again I think he's being realistic.
It’s all up to you. I for sure don’t like turning down money! J However, I also like to be honest and let you know going in what the finished product can look like.
