Frustrated with Local Water Restrictions
Reservoir levels serving the Tampa metro area are down so the county has enacted emergency water restrictions to help conserve water. Part of those restrictions include no residential car washing. So here's the deal...
1) I can water my grass for 4 continuous hours on one day per week.
2) I can flush my toilet as many times as I want.
3) I can take 5 showers a day or fill my tub to the brim.
4) I can top off my pool or even drain it and re-fill it if I want.
...but I can't wash my car at home with a hose equipped with automatic shutoff nozzle, even if it's sitting on the grass during the grass watering day/timeframe. I can run the kitchen sink all day long, but I can't fill up a bucket from the kitchen sink and wash my wheels with it in the driveway.
Oh yeah, it rains practically every day now and the reservoir is sitting at 21.75 feet (it's full at 22.5 feet).
I realize it's a real issue and I'm just venting, but come on.
