04-27-2010 #142I did over 3000 miles through of the worse highways and streets in the U.S (yeah u NY, New Orleans etc) including 120mph runs on Taladaga and a day at the drag strip, air ride not only had what I needed but allowed me the adjustments for anything. air ride will be with me again in July for Bullrun 2010 NY to Vegas...Vegas baby.

We wanted more sidewall on the tires for better handling and ride, espeically at sustained high speeds seen on Bull Run Rally. Nothing quite like hitting a unsuspected change of grade at double the speed limit and having no tire around the rim!
As for how low. We can ALMOST dirve it bagged out, but the tires do hit the inner wheelhouse just before totaly bottoming.
I will bag it out and shot you a picture of how low it goes before it rubs

The air ride is the best combination of ride / comfort / handling / ride height adjustment anyone can ask for. As Ted (Team Chevelle / Bull Run Racer Owner) mentioned, we most likely would not have made it through much of the rally with a fixed height suspension unless we set it up much higher then a performance G machine should sit. They navigated protruding manhole covers in Manhatten that high centered some exotics, and pot holes that could swallow Smart Cars in New Orleans.
We install and sell the Air Ride, if you have any questions, feel free to call and discuss.
