      GM had that space for a purpose as it allowed movement of air over the engine and not just through the radiator. By putting in the vents instead of totally blocking it off I still get some air flow along the hood line. Its set up so that I could attach hoses and pickup cool air via the bumper/parking lights - with the induction hoses it would throw a fair amount of cool air along the hood line and towards the air cleaner. I haven't done this step yet. Having said that ....My guess is it really doesn't make a difference - just me overthinking closing it off completely.

      Added a few things over the summer.. made a trunk kit (trap door and all), added a sliver stripe, re-did dash adding guages and clock.

      1970 RS/SS350 139K on the clock:
      89 TPI motor w/ 1pc rear seal coupled to a Viper T56 via Mcleod's modular bellhousing w/ hydraulic T/O bearing from the Viper, 12 bolt rear w/ 3.73 gearing, SC&C upper control arms, factory lowers with Delalums, C5 brakes at all four corners, Front Wheels 17x8's with Sumi 255/40/17 and Rear Wheels 17x9's with Sumi 275/40/17.
