      Another 69 Camaro project

This is my Camaro in a basket. It's starting to come together as the floors were replaced, rear quarter skins, roof panel.. so on. The front suspension is done, the rear has been mini tubbed. I have an LT-1 and 6 speed for it and installed with an ATS kit. I shot some Raptor pick up bed liner this weekend as an under coating, I like the texture. This is a budget build, so I get to do all the work myself.

Here is the mini tub and under coating.

Finally back on the ground, that's a relief.

Now I get to figure out what to do next.

      Joe

It's been a while since I have posted. I had to overhaul the motor . Well it's sitting there ready to go in, you can see the spun rod bearing material on the crank on the left.
I have the trunk cleaned up and painted with with duplicolor trunk spatter paint.
And today I shot the color on the firewall and bottom of the trunk lid. The pictures don't really do the color justice. My wife really knows how to pick color as I said before, she picked the color on the Chevelle and it turned out alright..
Well Ive got to start on the drip rails that I removed to get that straightened out, and then shoot color on all of the jambs. So much work so little time.

Joe, I remember this part of the project very well. Mine is just about to go under paint right now.....flat black or hot-rod black. I used to have an LT1, but now I have an LS1 which leads me to a question.....are you running the alternator in the original location?

Looks good bro. Keep on truckin.....it'll be done before you know it.

No, I have a street and performance set up for the alternator, air conditioner compressor and the power steering pump.
What mods did you have to do to for the LS1 swap?
I hate the way my mind works.

Nice project. I'm curious what did you use for undercoating?

Ed, you have a very cool project there. I've looked at you're thread
      before but never commented.
I used UPOL Raptor pick up bed liner for the under coating. It comes in a kit that includes the gun to apply it.

Oh, you know, the regular swap stuff.....hooker swap headers, modified f-body oil pan, hooker motor mount plates,
and a custom made x-member for the T56. It has a 224 comp cam in it with true dual exhaust and a tune.......it runs just a bit better than the LT1 383 I built for it previously.

Project looks good bro....keep hammerin' away and you'll get er done.

Joe, thanks for the compliment and response. I actually like the look of the Raptor stuff better than the Lizardskin (too grayish).

Well still making progress. Got the motor in,brake master cylinder in,hydraulic clutch hooked up and working, and rear disc brakes on. I still need to run the brake lines.

I used "blind nuts" from Menard's to install the clutch cylinder reservoir.

I had to modify some race car disc brake brackets to bolt onto the rear end housing. They came out really good.

I ended up using a long sanding block and sanding lightly on the edges to mark the high spots, do a little grinding, priming and do it over again. Probably the wrong way to do it but it's been working for me..
The more I get done the more that needs to be done.

Nice build on you're Chevelle LT1chevelle. My LT1 is mostly stock for now. Eagle crank, speed pro pistons, balanced, 480 lift cam and stainless no name roller rockers, heddman Elite headers.

Well its been 2 month's and it like i haven't got anything done. Except the drip rails. Guess I got some work done on the Chevelle and been driving and enjoying it. The drip rails on the Camaro came out really nice, but what a PITA.
