Disaster Averted!
Brian Williams (NBC Anchor) just reported that we just missed getting hit (45,000 miles) by a near earth asteroid. It was reported to be as large as a 10 story building,and would have had the impact 130 megaton warhead.

And they only discovered it a week ago. It's size however has not been determined. They said it was between 68 and 152 feet across. It would have been disasterous but not "world ending". Originally Posted by Twentyover

Off Topic: We'd probably have a more definitive idea of whether an asteroid impact actually caused the extinction of Dinosaurs. Many scientists have challenged this once widely-accepted theory in the past several years.

I bet they didn't want to mess up their lineup of slit your throat news with such a positive experience. People may just have got up off the couch, went outside, and went for a walk, called their mom, or just cracked a smile. We can't have that in such a global recession.

Not married yet, LOL. Car is doing good. Need to smooth the firewall and drip rails and then it's ready for paint (and drivetrain / suspension, haha).
