      Pro Flo and Data Acquisition

I am running a 1st generation Edelbrock Pro Flo EFI on my SBC. I just spent $1,100 replacing stuff that got burned up due to a 50 cent injector o-ring failure (harness, sensors, distributor, etc.), so I'm committed to making this system work. I am not sure if my old narrow band O2 sensor is bad or what, but shortly after start up the handheld module stays red (lean), even at WOT or in closed loop mode. I would like some suggestions on which data acquistion systems to consider. Can a replace O2 sensor with a wideband, and can it supply input to both Pro Flo and gauge (or data logger)? Same question concerning existing MAP, TPS, etc. or are stand alone systems my only practical option. Either way I'd like some feedback on different systems, their features and software, etc.

Can you fatten the mixture on programs B or C, read the modified program into memory, and see if you come off full lean?

I can fatten it up enough that its obvious its too rich and still it shows lean. I'm running Edelbrock's Perf RPM cam and matching chip in ECU so it cant be so far out that I'm leaner than 14.7 to 1 at WOT. Im somewhat confident I need new O2 sensor, but want at least to add new guage, so looking for options before I spend more money.

So far I've come up with this FAST air/fuel logger, which features a narrow band simulation output.
      Fast Air Fuel Meter:

I'm assume this output will work and is needed to use a single wideband sensor with the Pro Flo and a gauge or logger.
I'd still like to find a less bulky option that uses a single wideband sensor, possibly gauge with outputs for Pro Flo and maybe external logger. Can LC-1 simulate narrow band output I'm assuming I need?

I use to run the same setup till I switched to FAST ecm with the edel intake. (went turbo, which edel stuff doesnt support) I agree it sounds like the O2 is junk. I would recommend to get one of these, http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
The item that you listed is nice also but if your only planning on using the edel ecm and wiring. It doesnt make sense to monitor what you cant adjust in the edel programmer. For instance if your running the O2 on the rt bank and the left bank is a little off from what you want to run, you cant adjust it anyway with out affecting the rt bank. You'd need a different ignition setup and ecm to get the use out of the item you listed.
For your setup a simple AFR like the one I listed would be more than fine, seperate from the edel stuff so you have 2 monitors, not just a blinky light. Plus it doesnt cost 500 bucks. Just weld a bung after the edel O2 and install your new O2.

you can add the innovate wideband O2. member here (carpediem?) posted and asked questions, he didn't find anyone here with the answers but has a couple of threads on chevytalk.com efi forum getting it installed and working. I think he posted under a similar name there, but just search pro flo or edelbrock and start reading.

I thought I would check in to see whats going on...and yes I have successfully adapted the Innovate wideband O2 & Edelbrock system. It takes a while to figure out the narrow band output parameters to send to the Edelbrock ECU but I got it working and it works nicely. There are various fail safe/switching mechanisms that the ECU uses to determine if the O2 sensor is working or not and if you don't set the parameters correctly it will bump itself out of closed loop thinking there is an error. I set the voltage to something like [email protected] AFR & [email protected] AFR? I can't remember exactly and I don't have the car with me right now to plug in the laptop to have a look at my parameters but you can get it to work and depending on how you set the output parameters you can actually smooth out the rich/lean function so that the AFR mixture will remain a little more steady vs. constantly switching back & forth. Hope this helps...

Also check out this website for very good info...
