69 camaro LS headers suggestions needed
looking for headers for an ls swap in my 69 camaro. my car sits low so ground clearance is a concern. I was looking at a set of dough thorley long tube ls headers for 1st gen camaro $600 jet coated, and i have been considering S&P's short/mid tube headers at around the same price coated.
need to know what you guys think including prices for headers you guys are using and like. also long tube or short tube, regardless of vendor which is better?

It really depends on where your engine is located (which mounts you use). I have a set of Stainless Works headers that don't sit any lower than the sub-frame and are built really nice. My engine is a little further forward than some others though.

Another vote for Stainless Works. We sell and install them, never a problem. Nothing quite like stainless.
01-27-2009 #4We here at Edelbrock have an affordable line of swap headers and engine adaptor plates for the F,A, and X body GM cars that you might want to consider. When the headers were designed, ground clearence was one of the big considerations.
1967-1969 F-Body and 1968-1974 X-body Headers #65043 Engine Plates #6706. I would check out dealers for pricing.
