SW's can be made to work but one tube needs to be rerouted and the plug wires changed to a short 45* boot. There's more info in the Project Updates section under Why the Camaro is in a Coma or on my website.

If I had the financial ability to get the ATS headers there would be no doubt that they would be on the car. The ATS parts are first-rate in every way.

this post is why i always say buy the headers and then buy the mounts.

If you do not want the ats headers i would ditch the ats mounts and look at other options. there are several out there.

the mounts are the cheap parts.

the hooker set up worked great for me, for the price it was hard to beat. i will say the mounts look like a 10 year with a torch made them but you cant see them anyway.

I would love to see a dyno between the ats headers and hooker headers on a 500-600 hp car. i really doubt there would be more then a 25hp difference. now on a BIG HP car then i would imagine there would be a bigger difference. the ATS headers have a place but that place is not a 500rwhp car on a tight budget.

We did a dyno test at Katech (the guys who have built every C5R/C6R LeMans winning engine) last year with our headers vs, manifolds, off the shelf 4 into 1 type, and Katech's race headers.

We made more power than every single one of them, at every RPM range. Typical gains were 30-55 RWHP. They have never seen another header make more power than our Tri-Y.

We would destroy a set of Hookers in every respect; power, fitment, ground clearance, material, spark plug access, etc. Doesn't even need to be a large big cube high horse application either. The Tri-Y header will always make more power across the RPM band than a drag type 4 into 1 header like a Hooker or SW one will.

well then what i said is basically true. 25 rwhp in a 500 rwhp car.

so for about a $1900 difference you could gain a few ponys or you could buy a nice set of afr heads and make more
