      Duramax Diesel 70 Chevelle

Guys, I wanted to share another sweet build that we have put wheels on. Some of you may have seen it at SEMA last year. This Beast is on DPE R05S wheels. the Rear wheel is a 20x15! Enjoy!

Has this car been driven, I just wonder how driveable it is? It does not appear that there is much coolpack/charge air cooler area.

If you look carefully the turbo discharges don't have anything hooked up. So it's definitely not finished in the pictures. You can also see a huge intercooler in front of the radiator. It looks like the radiator was moved back about 4 inches and the cooler placed in front of it.

Thanks for the input Andrew. I just wonder with the intercooler stacked in front of the radiator, how well this thing will cool, especially in stop and go traffic. My company builds chassis' for the motorhome market, we utilize everything from big bore CAT and Cummins to the International MaxxForce 5 V6 and 7 V8 (Ford's Powerstroke) and I know how hard it is to make sure you have enough airflow. I was just curious in this small of an application, how driveable it actually would be.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought you were asking about cooling the intake charge. No doubt the Duramax has more engine cooling requirement than even a big block.

No problem here, just trying to understand the dynamics behind this one. I like the idea, really going outside the box.

Back when I was in college me and a couple of guys from my welding/fab class considered putting a 5.9 cummins in a 69 roadrunner. We even got to the point where we took all the dimensions and were going to do mock up. It never happened. I never thaught anyone would do a diesel muslecar.

I love that car, so wild and unique. Would love to see some video of it rolling through some twisties.
