I am pretty sure that American Racing has owned Weld for a while now.

American Racing Equipment owns Weld Racing Wheels, but Greg Weld owned Greg Weld Designs. The site is located here.

He created his own new wheel company after losing the old one.

Sad news. I've chatted with Greg a few times, he was always professional and courteous with me. He was excited about the new wheel company, now I wonder what will happen with it.

      Importance: High

In the greatest of regret we have to deliver the news that at the age of 64 Greg Weld has passed away from undisclosed health complications.

In the short existence of Greg Weld Competition Wheels, Greg felt more pride and accomplishment in the products and service and with the talented team that he has gathered within the last 12 months. It was Greg’s wish to have Greg Weld Competition Wheels thrive as a successful after Market Company.

The Greg Weld Competition Wheel Team plans to do just that, we will continue on with the vision that Greg had for his new venture. If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel free to contact myself or Larry Papen at 888-492-9394.

      Sincerely,

      Boyd Coddington Jr.
