What most buyers do not realize is that the spring/summer months are peak season for wheel manufacturers. Think about it, it is car show and cruise-night, racing etc... season and everyone wants a fresh pair of shoes on their rides. In the fall and winter, production drops dramatically, and that is the 6-8 week production time period. Now, some vendors are always quicker than others, but that doesn't help your case much if there is a specific brand/style you want and got to have it.

Realistically, guys should be ordering their wheels sometime in December to have them ready for the next show season. Next time you see an end of year sale on custom built wheels, keep that in mind!

      Fesler Wheels

We have had several problems like this and that is why we came out with our own line. We usually can ship in 2-3 weeks but tell people 4 to be safe.

Depending on your wheel finish and size it usually fast. If you are in a hurry you can pay extra and have them in a week, we have about 50% of our orders going this way because people dont want to wait.

If anyone is looking for a top of the line three piece wheel let us know we can help you out with quick turnaround time.

I totally understand the reason for the delay but the MFG should inform the buyer when the order is placed. Are you telling me at this point they do not know there is a problem and orders are taking double the quoted time??

I order rims and so do some others but to guys who are ordering their 1st set and get quoted 4-6 weeks should expect delivery in 4-6 weeks. Be honest and see how many orders get placed. Not bashing anyone but customer service sucks in this Industry and guys who are providing honest and correct info and great customer service should get the sale. not somebody who is outright lying about delivery dates. If a problem is encountered contact the customer and give them options. If it takes 20 weeks for a certain wheel maybe I am willing to wait but I do not want to be told 6 weeks when I place my order.

I have talked to Dave at Intro about wheels and the guy is dead honest about every aspect as are other sponsors on this board.

All I am saying is spend your money where a company is upfront and willing to stand behind their word.

Amen to that. Honest good customer service should be rewarded in this industry. I can tell you from behind the scenes, it is why I actually left where I use to work, and started our own business. My personal policy is be up front with our customers, and be honest about ETA's. We find our customers appreciate our honesty, and good communication just as much as our wheels.

Actually proper planning would take care of this long lead time issue, this is still no excuse.
