Mac-Ink's Project 78 Malibu
Here's how the car started. 100% original, 53k miles. 305/TH350

Here's the project rendering:
A few things will change along the way I'm sure, but the goal is, 17" wheels, 12" brakes, stiff lowering springs, larger sway bars, LSx drivetrain, Trans TBD, 8.5 rear, factory interior with upgraded sterero. The idea of the build is somewhere between a mild pro-tour car and streetfighter, minimal options but still maintain daily driveability.

This is my daily driver... so there will be things done along the way that most likey will change again down the road. First change was adding new ZQ8 wheels and 245,255/50-16 Falken tires.

Accelerator pump was bad on the factory 2bbl Rochester, So a 600 Edelbrock and a Performer EPS intake were installed... talk about SPEEEEEED!
I did prep and spray bomb the intake with Duplicolor Silver Wheel paint and the stuff is nails! Still has a great shine and hasnt yellowed on my yet.

I spent yesterday tearing out the factory springs and some old worn Monroe shocks.
You can see the old springs next to the new OPG 2" lowering springs

Rear springs and Bilsteins installed.

The rear end dropped .75 from the sagging factory springs. Sits just where I want it to. You can also see I got rid of the straight back exhaust, cutting it off behind the wheels and adding some cheapie chrome tips I had laying around for the time being.

I had the front 3" drop springs from OPG installed. They gave the car the perfect amount of drop and the tires do NOT rub. I'm very happy with these springs - ride quality and height. Also installed were Bilstein shocks up front and a hollow F-body 36mm sway bar that I picked up for $20 locally. I would like to upgrade the rear to a 1" bar later down the line but as it sits now, it handles a hellavulla better.
*Never mind that front chin spoiler - my SNAFU*
