      Video compression help wanted

      I took some vidoe flying through some twisties and need some dvise on programs that will compress it so I can post it. It is on digital vidoe tape so the file sizes are realy big. if there is a better way to transfer it from teh tape to teh computer other than hitting play and having transfer one second at a time please inform me. the camera is a JVC dvl920u.

      Go to wal-Mart and get a Dazzle video converter. They are cheap and work pretty good. It will come with programs to convert and compress you can use them or check out Vegas video.

      I have what ever came with the camera at this point that I know of. I dont recall the name. I had some adobe software in college, but lost it during a hard drive crash.

      Larry - don't intend to seem impatient. just looking to see if I need to aquire anything so I can arange time to pick it up. feel free to give me a ring when you have time.

      You can also use the free Windows Media Encoder... go to Microsoft.com to download it. It will capture and compress into windows media files or streams, and it's FREE!
