      I Need Some Help Quick

i went and looked at a 81 chevy malibu today. the guy gave me first chance at it. it looks pretty good. it has rust in the normal areas. the rear quarter panles the rear frame and the floors have some holes in them. the front end of the car looks good. the doors seem solid front fenders.some of my questions are:

      1. how much would it cost to fix the floors?
      2. do they even sell floor pans for this car?
      3. hot hard is it to fix the rear frame?

i am just looking for something that i can drive not looking for a show car at all. i posted this here because i need to get back to him by tonight. please give me some opinions. he is only asking 500 dollars for the car.
      thanks

If all you are looking for is a beater driver then its worth that I guess. You could patch the floors fairly easy that would last till the car is toast. If you want to make a hot rod out of it while you drive it or after you are done useing it for daily transport I would say keep lookin.

If you think you could part it out and get your 500 back then just buy it and then decide whether to part it or keep it. Right now (according to a driver for Chuck & Eddies) cars are worth roughly 250.00 as scrap in CT so if you think there's a couple hundred worth of stuff you could sell and then scrap it at least you'd break even.

I've got a nice front fender as well as some other parts from the last Malibu I parted out if you keep the car and need something. I have an 81 also, working on a cage for it right now.
