      Pilot bearing problem???

Need a quick answer if anyone has one.
I bought the Supercars unlimited adapter bearing to use an Olds auto crank with a std transmissions. I was measuring how deep I need to drill my crank to clear the input shaft. I had the bearing slid down the input ishaft and noticed there was visible run out. I pulled the bearing off and measured and there is .006 difference in the debth on how deep the center bearing is pressed from one side to the other . Basicly it must be pressed together slightly crooked
Am I being too anal or will this be a potential problem?

Do you have a picture? Are you talking about the throw out bearing or the pilot bearing?

Are you talking about an axial runnout due to the end of a bushing (not roller bearing) not being square? If so it should not be a problem if it is a plain bearing/bushing.

      As Andrew said, a pic.....

here is what it looks like

I finally got ahold of them today and they measured one of the ones he had in stock. The most side to side difference depth on that one was .002 which sounds much better than .006 They are going to excange it for me.
