      67 Camaro

      Howdy folks !

Want to say this site is great. In a few days of use, I've gotten a lot of great information.

I started a 67 camaro build about 18 years ago. Worked on it for 2 or 3 years off and on, then shelved it for the most part for 15 years.

Finally resurrecting it and paying some pros to finish it. It should be done in 4 or 5 months. They picked up the car yesterday.

I had previously completed 90 percent of the body work, built a turbo flavor 327, throttle body fuel injection, 12 bolt 3.42 posi, fully rebuilt M20 4 speed.

All the new technology that is available now is amazing compared to 18 years ago. Here is what I'm adding / changing:
      1) Chris Alston G-Bar w/ double adjustable coil overs
      2) 18 or 19 x 10" ish rear wheels, tires will probably be 285/45 maybe a little wider
      3) 18 x 7" front wheels, haven't figured out tires yet. Leaning 7" so parking lots don't suck.
      4) 11" disc brakes in rear (long since paid for, new in box still, and will likely use them to control costs)
      5) Global West Control Arms (upper and lower)
      6) Leaning towards a Red Head Steering Gear with heavy duty idler arm, but I might spring ATS or LEE box.
      7) Front adjustable Coil Over shocks or Hotchkis 2" lower sprin
      8) ATS AFX Tall spindles (recommended here).
      9) Selling my M20 4 speed and upgrading to a TKO/600 5 speed with hydraulic assisted clutch.
      10) 13 or 14" front disc brakes slotted for sure, drilled maybe. Leaning towards Kore3 kit since they seem like a great bang for the buck.
      11) I have an old, but excellent condition, single turbo kit complete with cast iron turbo exhaust manifolds, draw through intake adapter, all the plumbing, wastegate, etc.. But, I may upgrade to a more modern turbo. The rear mounted STS Turbo kit looks real attractive to me.
      12) Oil cooler due to the added heat from the turbos.

Hoping to lower the car about 2"-3" front and 3"-4" rear. No clue if I can pull that off without breaking the bank. Trying to figure out all this suspension stuff now.

Anyway, I'll keep you all updated, and post lots of pictures when it is done. Thanks again for all the great information I've found here, and will find in the future.

      Mike
