Your in TX, so you will get a chance to preview the stuff if you want.

The sad part is that I doubt any of the money raised from the auction will get back to the people waiting on cars to be built.

I wonder if a customer dropped off a car to be customized/restored and then a month later Unique get raided, if that customer gets his car back. I would think yes, but since they were cutting and pasting VIN tags I wonder what lengths the person would have to go to prove that is their car. Registration and before photos? Or does the bank just step in and seize everything and everyone is S.O.L. ?

Damn - I'll bet there are some deals to be had. The way some of the stuff is listed would be a gamble to bid on unless you were there and could look at it.

I'd like to see what some of the stuff goes for.

      Maybe a trophy?

For the kind of $$$$$$$ they were rolling in I would have thought they would have had better equipment than they had, the tool boxes were about the nicest things the rest looked like a lot of work.

I so wish I could get on a plane right now.....

Me want that 69 Vert with the 572!!!!!!!

Don't see the bike that OCC did for them up there. Actually one of my favorite OCC bikes.

OK, so I called the auctioneer and you need to make a 25% (of what you plan to spend) deposit before you will be able to bid. Bidding will last until next Thursday and will close 2 lots per minute.

Good news is we will be able to see the current bids without registering and can jump in anytime so long as they receive the deposit.....

      Better then BJ IMHO!!!

Do you get your deposit back if you don't win anything?

I'm sure you do. The reason for the deposit is so you have some skin in the game and you don't puff up auctions or bid on stuff you can't afford.

ie, if you can spend up to $10k they require a $2500 deposit. If your bidding on items worth over the 10, you would need to increase the dep. this way if you win and don't come up with the cash and they have to reauction the item they keep your depo...

      Makes sense

If I had the title to my car and some guy from the bank told me that due to some crazy technicality I was S.O.L......I don't think I should share what would happen next. Because it's not good, brother....it's not good at all.

What do you do without a VIN?

Some of the shells still have VINs... but most don't... If they were playing fast and loose there might not be any way of establishing a VIN for a shell, correct?

If so, are the shells only viable as a replacement shell for an existing vehicle or does anyone know how you would go about getting a VIN reissued?

      ??

Anyone located near by them were I could store a car until a shipper comes to pick it up. They said it has to be removed within 24 hours of auction? Id be willing to pay you for your services.
